Well, this is my first blog post. I would guess that if you are here on this site, you know me, but you may not know much about me. Let me give a brief synopsis of ME for those of you who do not know me.
I was born in Michigan, but grew up mostly in Chicago (with summers in Michigan). I went University of Illiois, Champagne-Urbana for a bachelors in economics. I spent my Junior year of college at University of Warwick in Coventry England.
After undergrad, I went straight to grad school at Michigan State University and majored in Finance and Marketing. I spent about 11 years working in corporate finance, working at Ford Motor Company, Allied Signal/Honeywell, Six Flags Theme Parks, and WiredCapital. During that time I moved several times and I spent nearly every vacation visiting Telluride.
In the winter of 2000 I had the opportunity for which I had been waiting. I was out of a job after the dot com I was working for at the time shut down and found myself free for the winter. There was no question I would spend it in Telluride.
After living full time in Telluride for the ski season, I knew I wanted to stay. I started to look for opportunities to work here. After buying and selling homes several times due to frequent moves, I knew I loved the real estate business. It was the natural choice for me.
I have been in Telluride for 9 years now and love it. I cannot imagine a better place to live and work.
